Verbose Jay is hosting the Carnival Of The Capitalists. I’ve had my worries that a showcase like this will actually be a bit… severe (really the right words escape me as of now) for something I’ll be following once a week, but Single Southern Guy’s entry is far from severe (profound, but not severe).
He ponders the growth of his blog, the change of his writing and those of others, and the branding involved that comes with the titles and addresses of our blogs.
Me? One. Fine. Jay. Not exactly material enough for a fisting, so leave your latex gloves at the door. Current tagline? Lunacy, unmedicated. I hope implications of it being so close to “fine” doesn’t escape you all.
Anyhow. Go. Go Carny to see the rest.

I know what you mean by the “severe” thing. I was afraid of that, but it almost has gone the other way. I’d like to achieve a nice balance between the more serious or formal or focused business blog posts, and the more peripheral economics, personal consumer observations on business, and fun yet absolutely spot on discussions like the blog branding one.
I think it’s going nicely. All I would change is move away from the barely on topic stuff a little more, and get a few more business-focused entries.
We figured on more of the biz bloggers, and econ bloggers, participating. And eventually on getting readership among people responsible for mainstream biz publications.
Is the word you wanted maybe “dry” rather than severe?
