I think God leaves us alone to fend for ourselves and no, he doesn't necessarily reward people for being good or praying. If he did, we'd all be good praying fools. Sides which, going by that philosophy as being spared some awful fate by praying or being good, I must be some awful evil mutha cause my life sucks. It just keeps getting worse.
