Living in letters
November 17, 2003
Kelley has posted the Cul-De-Sac and I am in it! Take a walk through Alphabet Lane and visit the other people she has chosen for this week’s installation. It’ll be a while, if I understand her format well, before any of us featured on it this week would return, which is a good thing, I suppose, in order to let everyone get a crack at the CDS.
She calls me eloquent! My heart can hardly fit in my chest right now. And yes, I’m a compliment whore for as long as I know that I deserve it.
I dedicate the Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear to her, for her happiness at being part of the Sisterhood:
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
