The magic elixir!
December 5, 2003
Not exactly, as this elixir is neither something you drink, nor is it something you use as a cure.
I’m reading Fnrak J and I come across A Brief History Of The Left. It’s been around a few days now, but it still keeps on striking me funny, but maybe not because the content itself is funny (it truly is).
Fnrak’s entry is a spoof of a blog whose main mission is to expose the humorous rhetoric of The Right as indicative of an advocacy for violence. This blogger uses Frank J as his poster boy on why he, and just about every liberal, should be dreadfully afraid of the day when the Conservative Death Troops will kick down the doors of every liberal and summarily execute them for treason.
My only message? Dude, fucking lighten up. No, really.
The elixir I speak of is the ability to laugh at one’s self.
When Jesse posted his Twenty Most Annoying Conservatives I found it a riot, not because he’s flinging insults at every big conservative name out there (If this doesn’t convince you, I doubt anything will: He says of Andy Sullivan… Oh, and he’s gay. Gay gay gay gay gay. Everyone in his party either hates him or just wants to deny him equal rights to pacify the people who do hate him…but it’s okay, because someone in the Nation said something that we must fisk in this new media century! Excelsior!), but because I still know how to laugh at the people on my side of the fence.
So, instead of writing up the equivalent of collegiate weekend-reasearch papers illustrating the truly violent nature of the Conservatives, take a fucking KitKat and just chill.

I prefer to reach into my Fuck It Bucket and have a piece of candy.
