Jayvie is many things:

I'm a Maryland resident. A self-avowed WordPress Whisperer, I use it in all my projects. I take lovely photos, go to the gym a lot, and opine strongly over design, aesthetics, and politics. I'm a heavy Twitter user, a moderate Flickr participant and in my spare time I help people at the SemperFi WP Support forums. Read more about me.

Quackmire!

Like any popularity contest, and yes, mind you, I do consider the Wang Biz awards as a popularity contest, people will be hurt. People will be excluded. People will realize they either suck, or aren’t liked by a lot of people.

The Magic Elixir doesn’t apply just to political discourse, it applies here too! So, instead of flinging feces across the room, let’s try not to take this too seriously. In fact, Kevin Aylward has given y’all one last chance to actually make fun of yourselves by adding one other poll: The Most Egregious Omission.

As for the awards themselves, can we all take a few deep breaths and just chill? It is wintertime across the continental United States anyway.

People are actually bothered about not getting nominated or not winning? Sheesh. Some people take things too seriously.
There’s like a million blogs out there, and only the people who stop by Kevin’s place will even know to nominate someone. It is perhaps representative of the most-known bloggers within one corner of the blogiverse, but that’s about it. Someone should be flattered to win, and unperturbed to not get chosen.

I’m aiming to come in last on ‘conservative blogs’. ;)
I think I’ve got a good chance at that position, too. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even notice I’d been nominated until I went to vote in that category.

    Everybody Hates me.
I guess I’ll go eat worms.

(I know there’s more to this little missive, but damned if I remember it.)

Looking at the good side, not knowing most of the pretty blogs, I had to take a look see, check out all their skins, then decide. oh, and link them. I find them way more inspiring than, oh, say Blogspot blogs. Inspiring enough to fiddle with mine.

As to some of the categories, I didn’t know any of the blogs so no sense voting. It’s all in fun and if it gives me ideas, so much the better.
