Bye-bye Boomshock

And welcome, Priorities and Frivolities! It is becoming apparent that the only exciting part left in the B*S Exodus is betting on how long the bigger names that remain hosted on Blogsplat. My bet is that Atriyuck will stay there till the bitter end. Imagine the bandwidth costs for maintaining a site like that…
But why tarnish my notice of Robert Tagorda’s early Christmas present from his wife?
I found this from Matt Stinson, one of my first stops for the blog day. On a slightly related aside he notes the silly names employed by Moslem separatists in the Philippines, citing Commander Robot and his capture as a prime example.
Even coverage of these terrorists and rebels has become entertainment and they know it. I’ve seen one video calling for the separation of Mindanao as an Islamic state, while one of them was carrying his son. It’s all a ploy to humanize themselves, I guess. The nicknames add a little bit of cuddly-wuddly fuziness to their edge…
It’s like Kirby, only with bombs, machine guns, and a temperament to match no other.
UPDATE: As much as I have mentioned that coverage has turned Moslem separatists into “entertainment” I am in no way entertained by their methods, nor their ideals. Kirby may be cute, but make him go boom in a packed bus — nay, even make him want to do so — and I hate him no matter how much he tries to entertain me.

It’s entertainment, like we Americans enjoy, It’s sorta fun to watch explosions and bullets rip shit apart, who can’t enjoy that?! Well, except for the victims.
