A caveat regarding Hillary
December 9, 2003
Michael Demmons cites Dick Morris, discussing Hillary in 2008. Two bullet points:
- It is to Hillary’s benefit for a Democrat to lose in 2004.
- Therefore, expect to see Hillary Clinton doing as much as she can to take the spotlight from the Democratic nominee.
When Ted Rall, the one who hates America, came out with his endorsement for Howard Dean bloggers called for a Souljah moment, where he could probably gain some credibility among us in the right by disavowing such a piece of scum as Rall. Thankfully, it didn’t happen. What I think we are beginning to see with Hillary!, the more we watch her, is that she is the one doing the Souljah tactic every step of the way and her tactice, her panache is remarkable. True, we may have found her vocal, but tactful (as much tact as could be pinned, of course) criticism of the Iraq war distasteful, thus giving the “just desserts” reaction to the cold shoulder she received during ver visit. Nevertheless, the way she has been conducting herself in the media proves she is a far bigger threat to the nine than George Bush is.
When you place Hillary! beside the rest of the Donks what does the common man see? A woman with a platform, a calm and soothing voice, with a plan and a purpose. She, all of a sudden, begins to look center-left. She takes on the guise of the true centrist.
I have no doubt that Hillary’s ultimate methods would lead to Big Government, Financial Extravagance, and a small dash of socialism and fairness for all, yet all of these are borne of good intentions and good faith. As I have discussed before, the first two methods are being seen in the Bush administration, but I have a bigger faith in Republicans eschewing the Democratic method they are using in order to pander to all sorts of interests, than for Democrats to ditch their core principles.
When and if Hillary! wins in 2008, the only thing I wonder about is, if we are still blogging, would we be labelled as the shrill right on mere account of us being the out-of-fashion righty bloggers?

“…a calm and soothing voice…”
Have you ever listened to her? LOL!
Oh wait. You read Living History.
“I – could – hardly – breathe. Gulping – for – air, I – started crying – and – yelling – at – him”
Too funny, Michael! I’m just noting opinions from people who don’t watch politics (like my mother, or some neighbors) and yet actually notice Hillary! babble on and on and “admire” her for her, er, speaking skills.
Must be hard being the world’s most intelligent woman, really.
