Dodd Harris has unearthed some Christmastime humor that inadvertently accuses me of being a Democrat:
- Democrats let their kids open all the gifts on Christmas Eve.
- Republicans make their kids wait until Christmas morning.
I knew it. Filipino traditions are inherently Democrat. Thanks for making me hate myself, Dodd, or at least you can pass the message along to John Carlson.

My family’s tradition has wavered, but when I was growing up, we kids opened up wrapped presents on Christmas Eve and then on Christmas morning, the unwrapped presents from Santa appeared. I guess that’s what I got for having conservative DINO parents.
