Laurence is basically calling me empty headed and thats fine with me. When 9/11 occurred, people from all the world stood by the US with their support, condolences, prayers, etc.. They were all Americans as they all felt our pain.
Im sorry that Simon's pain and anguish and disgust and whatever else he feels prevents him from empathy toward the grief stricken. That seems to be a personal problem. I can assure you though, that I am glad I am not as hardened as he appears to be.
Laurence is entitled to his opinions and as such I woulndtt criticise him or call him as asshole or whatnot. But, he deliberately went out of his way to comment on entries where the writers actually felt solidarity with the people of Spain all because HIS Israel gets negative media response or none at all.
Heh. The first team to arrive in Spain to assist their ALLY was a forensic team from Israel. Methinks Lawrence and the likes are a small minority.

Grief, shock, anger... legitimate and healthy reactions.
The empty-headed, meaningless statements of "Everyone is a Spaniard" ... not healthy.
