“Hey, does this MT blog make my ass look big?”
Miss Venomous Kate’s porting to WordPress has so far inspired Chris Noble and Donnie Hall to convert their blogs as well. E-Claire has also gone ahead and tried it out on my test blog.
I also asked Kate how much disc space she has saved, following deletion of her old archives. Her answer:
With MT, my database size was 54.3 meg and I used 180 meg of disk space. With WP, my database is all of 8.2 meg and I’m using only 52.99 meg of disk space. A very nice savings!
When I said that someone big was porting to WordPress, I was not expecting a snowballing effect that’s only bound to grow. (And no, I think those sweatpants would look good on you either way, Miss VK!)

Phew! I’d hate to have to give them up in favor of something less comfy.
