Welcome to my life.

I'm a self-avowed WordPress Whisperer with a specialization in front-end design. I live in Maryland. I take lovely photos, go to the gym a lot, and opine strongly over design, aesthetics, and politics. I'm prolific on Twitter; I used to post to Flickr; I have a moblog and in my spare time I help out at the SemperFi WP Support forums. Read more about me.

Evil tool in the service of good

Doc J has a Powerpoint presentation detailing George Bush’s activities and words regarding the war on terror and militant Islam. He notes Professor T’s observation that despite the President repeating himself — in tangibly increasing levels of frustration with every press appearance, I must add — “the message has not fully penetrated the public consciousness, which is ultimately the President’s responsibility.”

Not enough to redeem Powerpoint for its potential for ubiquitous misuse; but it’s one drop in the bucket for helping get the message out, especially against that “imminent threat” canard that I have grown so, so tired of clarifying. All I get in response is “Plastic turkey! Bush lied! Troops died! It’s about oiiiiiiiiiil,” and other familiar responses.
