And so I descend into hate
May 11, 2004
This nonjudgmentalism–essentially a form of nihilism–deemed everything from Sudanese female circumcision to honor killings on the West Bank merely “different” rather than odious. Anyone who has taught freshmen at a state university can sense the fuzzy thinking of our undergraduates: Most come to us prepped in high schools not to make “value judgments” about “other” peoples who are often “victims” of American “oppression.” Thus, before female-hating psychopath Mohamed Atta piloted a jet into the World Trade Center, neither Western intellectuals nor their students would have taken him to task for what he said or condemned him as hypocritical for his parasitical existence on Western society. Instead, without logic but with plenty of romance, they would more likely have excused him as a victim of globalization or of the biases of American foreign policy. They would have deconstructed Atta’s promotion of anti-Semitic, misogynist, Western-hating thought, as well as his conspiracies with Third World criminals, as anything but a danger and a pathology to be remedied by deportation or incarceration.
Today, after six hours of searching high and low for it, I have seen The Video. The one that news media outlets won’t show for whatever reasons they think they have. And today, after seeing The Video again and again, I am making a value judgment not just on Radical Islam, but on all followers of Islam itself: it is high time for yet another reformation within that religion. I think that the majority of peace-loving Moslems — Uh-’murrican or not — cannot, should not, and must not sit back and watch the violent ones among them highjack their religion — highjack their god — into validating evil. Because once all of the Islamic socio-religious leaders are of the same mindset as those who took Nick Berg’s life, I will not be afraid to call Allah an evil god, Islam an evil religion, and its followers accomplices — whether through direct participation or complicity — in this evil.
Perhaps I am being unfair to the Peace-Loving Majority of Moslems who are not hell-bent on cutting our heads off, or making us submit to the will of Allah. Before The Video I have refused to assign any measure of culpability on those whose understanding of Islam is in harmony with our way of life. No longer. Just as I have given moderate liberals a long leash and a separate pigeonhole from their lunatic fringes, I have done so for moderate Moslems. No longer. I think, as I repeat myself yet again, that moderate Moslems now carry the burden of reforming their religion from within. There is not much time. Soon, all “moderate Moslems” will carry the stigma of those who have bastardized the words of their god for their own benefit. Soon, all “moderate Moslems” will have to face the fact that their faith — corrupted by its leadership — can no longer co-exist with the values of freedom that we hold dear. And when that day comes, and soon, you can expect those whose freedoms are threatened to do the right thing.
I am making a value judgment on Moderate Moslems for their apparent complicity. The atrocious nature of this culture of death is, at least by my standards, reason enough to either leave, or set the institution asunder for it to once again be renewed. If the moral responsibility, as per the tenets of their faith, of Moderate Moslems is to simply accept that this is the “will of Allah,” I have a big problem with that. I am not ashamed to say that the words of the god you worship are being used for evil.
And so, if I have not made myself clear, I’ll go ahead and repeat myself some more. I hate the way the words of your god are used by your leaders. I hate your leaders. I hate your fringes. And I am beginning to hate how so little is being done to remedy the situation from within. And soon enough, as “submission” and “faith” remain excuses for complicity, as hate of the Western way of life continues to be ingrained as a “majority metality,” I will learn to hate all of you.

Dear “Moderate” Muslims,
They say that you become what you hate. But, I’m not buying that shit today.
Your silence betrays your acceptance, perhaps even your approval, of the atrocities that your brothers in faith continue to perpetrate. I have to admit that I am a bit further along than my friend Jay, here. I do hate you. I hate your complacency. I hate what you have allowed your culture to become. I hate the fact that you refuse to rise up and excommunicate these subhumans from the light of your god. Know this: one day someone from my culture is going to wipe your culture off the face of this earth. When that happens, perhaps we won’t be as discriminating as we have been in the past. Perhaps the innocent will burn along with the guilty. And when that happens, I want your survivors to look upon the pyres of your dying civilization and remember the silence that you hold right now.
I won’t waste any tears on you when that day comes. Every atrocity brough upon us pushes you that much closer to annihilation.
I hope that your mouths will open with outrage before we silence you forever.

I found a link to the video. It’s a snuff site, but obscure enough to miss most of the traffic. http://www.ogrish.com/index2.php
