How to fight the next war
May 22, 2004
Since the concept of strategic concealment seems to escape the media nowadays, may I take this moment to propose that in the next war we get ourselves into, whether it’s next year or after a hundred more, we have the media go ahead and reveal for the rest of the world the location of the units they are embedded in, their capacity for force, along with their targets. Then, when we take in prisoners of war in order to obtain useful and vital information required for victory, maybe the media should also broadcast for the world exactly where these jails would be so that whoever would want to free our prisoners can go ahead and do so. Nor should they forget to mention the size of the fighting force guarding said prisons. Because secret is evil. Yes folks: secret is evil, especially in the arrid desert.
Repeat after me: Four legs good, two legs bad.
