Principles of excess

If you can afford 40 iPods, I’m sure a Fendi bag to hold them all won’t break your wallet.

Generations

Congratulations to Jim Moran who is now a grandfather.

The sound of me fainting

Ka-blogh The Comissar comes out, yet again, with a fun map of select blogosphere members — including myself and Mog in the same neighborhood no less — that are really worth visiting. I was so flabbergasted when I saw it I fainted and fell to the floor, making a strange thud: Ka-blogh

Simpsons do blog

Tonight’s Simpsons did a number on independent media versus big media. In the place of blogs, mimeographed, personally published newspapers was the medium used. Really now: let me fire the first blogger triumphalist cry. We know it’s coming anyway.

Boring!

The Good Reverend has an excellent post on the usual Blogs versus Big Media and our biases regarding the war in Iraq. His post isn’t boring at all, but he makes clear why (at least for me) the summer slowdown could not come in early enough on the heels of both Nick Berg’s death and… Continue reading this entry

It’s alive!

WordPress v1.2-Mingus is now out. Matt has the details. It is noteworthy that more than just a few folks have started switching to WordPress, like Dave Tepper, or considered switching it, like Kelley. I’ve been well aware of the features that were up and coming with the Mingus release. I may not be surprised, but… Continue reading this entry

RSS fun

What I just saw in my Sharpreader: Well at least we do know that the Beeb can actually lead to some sort of peace, just not the sort that counts.
