Marlon Brando, 1924-2004
July 2, 2004
Marlon Brando is dead at the age of 80. I saw this in the news earlier, and though I didn’t have much to comment on ealier, after reading Boi From Troy‘s and James Joyner‘s posts, I have realized the tragedy in his passing: I’ll always remember him as the Ray-Ban-wearing, Pan-Cake-Make-up–wearing Doctor Moreau. He’s gone off to the island of animal halflings in the sky.
(It is notable to note, that though I may not have forgiven him for that particular role, Brando did have a lot more to make up for for that snafu; I could not say as much for Raul Julia, whose final (major) role as M. Bison surely was just not the right way to go.)
