Veep!

Today, John Kerry chose a man to lead alongside him.

He was an ordinary man, who had an ordinary childhood. A man who represents the opportunity which is the American dream. An ordinary man who used lifted himself up and has become a success at what he does.

Today, John Kerry chose a man who represents the American dream. A man whose life story the media calls a “great story.” A man who brings optimism, and energy and breathes new life into the country. Perhaps a man who brings hope to us all.

This is a man whose opponents will deride as having more “style” over “substance.” A man whose policy ideas will be challenged every step of the way. A man who will stand by what he believes in, because he believes that what he is doing is right for the country.

Today, John Kerry chose a man for vice president. And this man has a name. Ohhhh yes, he has a name. And this man’s name — this man of style, of optimism, energy, and hope — is Ronald Reagan.

Or maybe not. It’s actually John Edwards, although by the looks of the way the media is treating the Pretty Boy with an unsustainable Senate term, it might as well be the great RR they’re talking about.
