Comment spam is not one of my biggest interests, but it is worthy to note that I now encountered the first comment spam attack that used the same obfuscation techniques on key spamwords that some blogging tools use to conceal e-mail addresses from farmbots. Such a technique lets slip comment spam, and prevents direct searching of the database using the words that one reads on screen.
The comments policy on OFJ remains the same. If you leave a link, your comment will be automatically placed into moderation. If the name in your comment links to a mercantile site, I will remove that link. If your name is a spamword, I will delete your comment. Other adjustments will come as necessary.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I will be watching season 3 of Farscape today and tomorrow, and would not like to be bothered please.

WordPress folk are falling behind. I’m waiting for the “send electric jolt to spammer” feature.

Now, I wouldn’t be as unforgiving of them. They are, as they are, pretty good. Besides, have you ever seen an archived MT comments page littered with so much comment spam that its user has just let them lay there out of frustration?

Farscape rocks. Do you have previous seasons on DVD?
