Seems to me that the previous statement is how apologists for the Dan Rather scandal have approached it. Heck, a certain family member who is the only Democrat in our household used a statement similar to the one mentioned, and he was a philosophy degree to boot.
Chris Lawrence and Megan McArdle are on the case. At this point it would be worth imagining how things would be were Dan Rather, or any of his apologists, were state prosecutors.

Gets realy dicey when one liberal gose after another and the L.A.
