Jayvie is many things:

I'm a Maryland resident. A self-avowed WordPress Whisperer, I use it in all my projects. I take lovely photos, go to the gym a lot, and opine strongly over design, aesthetics, and politics. I'm a heavy Twitter user, a moderate Flickr participant and in my spare time I help people at the SemperFi WP Support forums. Read more about me.

Such vain animals we are

Plenty of bloggers use Sitemeter; I do not. I do have my own stats tracker which shows me the IPs of those currently viewing their pages, and where they came from. One thing I like to do when I am extremely bored and have too much time on my hands is to play what I call “referral tag.”

I basically click through the links on my blogroll, which would then appear on their Sitemeter stats as a referred click from my blog. Lo and behold, quite a few of y’all go and take a look at my blog to see if I linked you. Hah, no use denying it either; most of us have static IPs which we leave when we comment.

Before I seem sanctimonious about it all, I do check my referrers as well. It’s so much fun to know that I am not alone in being such a vain and predictable animal in the blogosphere. Referral tag, anyone?
