Over the weekend, Gov. Palin launched an attack against Sen. Obama about his connection with unrepentant domestic terrorist, Bill Ayers. Quite predictably enough, the press, which is so far up BHO’s ass that to them the whole world is one large colon, has branded her attack as “racist.” And so it’s begun, right? The attempts at chilling the debate has reached this point and now the campaign should act like it’s got nothing to lose.
Thankfully, it has been acting like it has nothing to lose: Palin has now warned the Obama camp of her intentions. BHO’s claim that Bill Ayers is now no longer someone he knew in his neighborhood but someone whose acts he had no awareness of is both preposterous and saddening. To take BHO at his word that he knew not of Bill Ayers is to assume that he is ignorant enough to not vet the people with whom he works. To disbelieve him is to assume that he is lying about his connection and is hiding, not just “something,” but SOMETHING.
Senator McCain is now pinning the financial crisis to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, finally, but only after an article exposed his weak stomach regarding the issue. If John McCain thinks that he and his campaign would be branded as racist despite any kind of criticism that he launches, then he should just go balls to the wall and just embrace the criticism and let Americans decide.
It is not racist to question Obama’s judgment on his domestic terrorist friend. If he knew about Ayers’ actions (which with applying Occam’s razor is more plausible) then it is not even racist to question his got-damn patriotism.
It is not racist to question the Democrat involvement in the provenance of this financial crisis to its very roots: the Community Reinvestment Act and the push to press mortgages upon the poor.
It is not racist to question BHO’s involvement in Chicago Machine Politics and the Marxist-Leftist origins of his, and his chief Mechanic, Axelrod’s, community organization background.
It is not racist to question BHO’s twenty-year relationship with a polemic Black Liberation Theology preacher-man.
It is not racist to question BHO’s questionable revenue sources.
It is not racist to do any of these things. McCain needs to make that clear, by opening every cannon he’s got and firing a never-ending barrage of attacks on his character and his judgment, he will invite every charge of racism conceivable. When the charges of racism do come, he needs to carefully lay out the case to everyone, that it is not racism, and that it is a disgrace to the history of racial inequality in this country that dilutes the evil of true racism.
He needs to do this not just to win the election, but to make sure that if we have to endure eight years of Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency, holding him accountable and criticizing him openly and clearly for his actions is not racist. Else, we may just cut out tongues off and keep them in jars.
